Description
“Dry wors” (also spelled droëwors in Afrikaans) is a traditional South African snack — it’s essentially a dried sausage, similar to biltong but in sausage form. Made primarily from beef (sometimes mixed with lamb or game), it’s seasoned with spices like coriander, salt, pepper, and vinegar, then air-dried to preserve it.
It’s a favorite among South Africans for road trips, picnics, and just general snacking — chewy, flavorful, and packed with protein. Want a recipe, or are you looking to buy some?
